Yeah yeah, I’m doing 20 books for 2020. Cheesy I know but issa goal.
So I’m sure that by now you all have written out your goals for the new year. If you haven’t yet, not to worry, you still have time to write the vision and make it plain.
Each year I make it a point to write out my goals and devise a plan to accomplish each one. Unfortunately I have not been as diligent about devising a plan for one goal in particular.
I’ve been an avid reader since I was a young girl. I can remember vividly the days when my elementary school classes would take their turn at the Scholastic book fairs that took place once a year in our school’s library. I LOVED every minute of discovery among all the new books. For years I have devoted much of my learning to reading but unfortunately as an adult I’ve found it a lot more difficult to devote time to reading. Nevertheless, my desire to educate myself through reading has not subsided. This year instead of simply writing read more books on my goals list I decided to be more intentional and compile a list of books that I would like to complete for 2020.
Below you will find my reading list broken down into categories based on my interests and topics I am interested in being further educated on. In no particular order here is my 2020 Book List.
Spiritual development:
Disclaimer: I don’t exactly plan on finishing any of these books for my spiritual development. I believe that these types of books serve more as an ongoing reference for my growth. I decided to include them anyway because I thought you all might find them helpful as well. So don’t count these first four books in my 20 for 2020.
- If I don’t complete any of the books listed my ultimate desire is to study a book of the bible each month.
- Apocrypha: I purchased the Apocrypha a while ago but I’ve been apprehensive to crack it, I guess simply because I’m not sure where to begin. This year I’m just going to dive in.
- The Book of Enoch: Another I don’t exactly plan on finishing but I want to know how deep the rabbit hole goes, so I’ll be purchasing this and taking it one step at a time.
